About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Selah, which operates Selah. By creating an account, joining a meeting, registering for an event or otherwise using Selah, you agree to them. If you use Selah for an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it.
Accounts
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password safe; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- You must be 18 or older, or use Selah with a parent's or guardian's permission.
Guests can join a meeting without an account when its host allows it; these terms still apply to them.
Organisers
Your events
You're responsible for your events: their content, accuracy, safety, venue, permits, and for honouring what you promise attendees. You act as the seller of tickets to your attendees; Selah provides the platform and payment collection on your behalf.
Attendee data
You may use attendee information only to run your event and as allowed by law and our Privacy Policy. Don't sell it or send marketing without consent.
Payouts
Ticket revenue is paid to your connected bank account after the event, minus refunds and any fees shown on our pricing page. We may hold a payout while a dispute, chargeback or suspected fraud is investigated. You're responsible for your own taxes, including GST where it applies to you.
Attendees
- Your contract for an event is with its organiser, who sets its rules, schedule and refund policy.
- Follow the organiser's rules and treat other attendees, speakers and hosts with respect.
- Tickets are personal unless the organiser says otherwise, and may be checked at the door.
Fees and payments
- Free events are free — Selah charges no fee to organisers or attendees for them.
- For paid tickets, the fees shown at checkout are the fees you pay; the organiser's plan sets the platform fee.
- Subscription plans are billed in advance each month or year and renew until cancelled.
- Prices depend on your region and may include applicable taxes at checkout.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of your current plan.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use Selah to:
- break the law, or run fraudulent, misleading or unsafe events;
- harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or share sexual, violent or hateful content;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy, including recording people without the notice Selah shows;
- send spam, or scrape, overload, probe or circumvent the security of the service;
- impersonate a person or organisation.
Hosts and organisers can remove, mute or ban people in their rooms and events. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
Your content
You own what you create on Selah — event pages, messages, recordings and uploads. You give us permission to host, copy, display and process it only to run and improve the service, including generating AI drafts, captions and notes when you or a host enable those features. You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload.
Recordings and AI
Recording, transcription and AI notes are off unless a host turns them on, and participants are shown when they're active. Hosts must have a lawful basis to record and must tell participants. AI output can be wrong; check it before relying on it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Selah available and secure, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features, and we'll give notice of changes that significantly affect paid plans.
Ending your use
You can stop using Selah and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or put users or the service at risk. Organisers remain responsible for events sold before closure, including refunds owed to attendees.
Liability
Selah is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the content and conduct of events and their organisers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can't be limited by law.
You agree to cover our reasonable losses from claims caused by your events, your content or your breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.
Changes to these terms
We'll post updates here and change the date at the top. For significant changes we'll notify you in advance by email or in the app. Continuing to use Selah after they take effect means you accept them.
